Welcome To The Nailash Box

My name is Laura Smith and I am the owner of The NaiLash Box. I am an experienced builder gel manicurist, with 11 years in the nail industry. 

I have always enjoyed taking care of my own nails and after the birth of my first child, I took the leap of faith and went to college to study Beauty Therapy. I spent a year working hard on my NVQ Level 2 and decided to study for a further year to gain my NVQ Level 3 in Nail Technology. 

I went on to working in a salon in Knebworth and another branch in Hatfield. I loved the environment, but quickly realised I could work for myself and work it around my son. I worked mobile for a while and got so busy that I had to base myself at home. I ended up taking over the family home, so I searched for somewhere to rent. I rented in Harpenden for 8 years, but shared my space and time with another therapist.

We bought our first home in February 2025 and I decided to bring work back home, but set up a cabin to keep work and home separate still. I am now based in Bushmead and it is going really well. As I no longer share my work space, I have availability for new clients and I am alot more flexible.

I pride myself on the care I take within the treatments I offer and the lasting results they provide. I am also very good at listening. Whatever is shared in the cabin, stays in the cabin. Some of my clients say seeing me is not just a pretty set of nails, pretty feet, a pretty lash lift, but also a kind of therapy where you can offload your thoughts and feelings. I care about the wellbeing of all my clients and look forward to catching up whether it is 2 weekly, 3 weekly, 4 weekly, 6 monthly, yearly. I appreciate every single one of my clients.
